Description: Environmental injustice occurs whenever some individual or group bears unjustifiable environmental risks, lack of access to environmental goods, or lack of opportunity to participate in environmental decision-making. This course will examine issues of environmental justice, both local and global, bringing philosophical analysis to bear on case studies and topics ranging from toxic exposure and land rights, to energy, global warming, and responsibility to future generations.
