Topics covered include the reactivity of various functional groups, approaches to organic synthesis, reactivity of conjugated systems and molecules of biological significance. The lecture will be recorded and posted for asynchronous viewing. The mandatory workshop will be online and synchronous. Co-registration in the accompanying laboratory course, CHEM 208, recommended but not required. (CHEM 210W, a two credit lab offered in the spring, is recommended for chemistry majors.)
